mselect is seeking an Integrated Project Planning Engineer for an esteemed international energy client based in Basrah, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in similar position in the oil and gas industry. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

HSE:
  • Drives HSE performance in accordance with Company objectives, demonstrates HSE leadership
  • Ensure Company HSE objectives are achieved
  • Support and encourage the establishment of an HSE culture within the team through a proactive attitude (training, HSE Site visit, HSE meetings and incentive actions, etc.), stop dangerous situations, report anomalies and dangerous acts, follow Company Golden Rules
Other Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain detailed schedules that outline tasks, milestones, deadlines and their baselines
  • Identify potential delays, analyse and propose corrective actions to ensure compliance with the baseline schedule
  • Liaise with Project Planners and Affiliate Planners, Activity Owners, Managers to deliver accurate interface and integrated plans
  • Assist in resolving issues related to interface/integrated planning conflicts and challenges in cooperation with relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare “what-if” plans with different scenarios to support the decision-making process
  • Monitor the performance and drive improvement of Key Performance Indicators
  • Participate in preparation of monthly and other periodic planning meetings and reports
  • Run regular Project Planning and Scheduling meetings
  • Active participation to Affiliate planning meetings, IOP, Projects Scheduling meeting
  • Work closely and support the cost team with schedule and progress

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s/ master’s degree in Geographical Information Systems, Geosciences or Information Management disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in development of energy and renewables projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office in particular MS Excel, MS Project. Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Planning and Project Management skills.
  • Strong multitasking abilities.
  • Strong analytical, critical, and logical thinking skills.
  • A sound understanding of safety protocols.
  • Ability to focus under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Fluent in English, Excellent English Writing and Negotiation Strong teamwork ethic and with a collaborative approach 10-15 years of experience in the oil industry, with significant experience in similar position
