mselect is looking to hire a Head of Sales for a fintech client in Baghdad, Iraq. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in banking and financial services. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

Job Description
The Head of Sales will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our business by developing and nurturing relationships with key service providers, partners, and clients. Reporting directly to the executive team, you will lead our sales efforts to onboard service providers, cash-dependent clients, and banking institutions onto our innovative smart kiosk platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to onboard service providers onto our smart kiosk platform, including telecom companies, bill payment companies, and subscription providers
  • Cultivate strong relationships with service providers, understanding their needs and aligning our solutions to meet their objectives
  • Collaborate with the product development team to ensure seamless integration of services onto our smart kiosk machines, providing a user-friendly experience for customers
  • Identify and engage with cash-dependent clients such as delivery companies and FMCG businesses, demonstrating the value proposition of using our smart kiosk as a cash deposit point for their payments
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions with partners and clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that drive revenue growth for both parties
  • Develop and maintain relationships with banking institutions, particularly focusing on banks in need of cash deposit machines
  • Drive the sales cycle with banking partners, from initial engagement to contract execution, ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding process
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including operations, marketing, and customer support to ensure alignment and successful implementation of sales strategies
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of market developments
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to the executive team, including sales forecasts, pipeline analysis, and key performance metrics

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, marketing, or related field; MBA preferred
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the fintech industry, with a focus on B2B sales and partnership development
  • Strong understanding of financial services, payment systems, and technology solutions, preferably within the cash handling or payment processing space
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders at all levels
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of developing and executing sales plans to achieve ambitious targets
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment, with a high degree of adaptability and resilience
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools for tracking and managing sales activities
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with partners, clients, and attend industry events
