Job Purpose
A qualified manager to lead the operations of our GSA office for a major Middle East-based airline in Erbil. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire business performance of the GSA, managing both the office and airport teams, ensuring excellence in service delivery, and fostering growth aligned with the airline's goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all GSA-Erbil operations, ensuring alignment with The Airline’s standards and strategic goals
- Supervise office-based sales staff and airport personnel
- Maintain effective communication across all channels, including email correspondence, public relations, and customer service platforms
- Serve as the main representative of GSA with the airlines' Erbil branch
- Build and sustain strong relationships with travel agencies, corporate clients, government offices, and other institutions
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities to grow the business and improve competitiveness
- Prepare reports and performance reviews, and provide regular feedback to the senior management
- Represent the company in external meetings, industry events, and negotiations
Requirements
- Proven track record in a management role within the airline or travel agency industry
- Strong understanding of the airline business, ticketing systems, and operational workflows
- Good leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Fluent in Kurdish and English; knowledge of Turkish and Arabic is highly desirable
- Professional manners, capable of representing the company in high-level discussions
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
