MSELECT is hiring a Communication Officer for an international oil and gas operator in Basrah. Candidates must have at least 5 years’ experience in public relations. Fluency in English is a must.

Job Objective
  • Organizing Company’s events & activities with industry standard
  • Present asset’s image and report news in the company best interest
  • Record development history and major millstones through varies materials
  • Staff motivation and feedback collection
  • Company brand development & enhancement
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Drafting news article, statement, speech, letters etc. as per management needs
  • Run asset newsletter efficiently & effectively maintaining internal new network I.e. interview sourcing, draft, editing and reporting
  • Organizing company events & activities i.e., planning, cost control, implementation control and feedback
  • Brand development i.e., design, order and budget control for company souvenir diary book etc.
  • Taking, editing & recording company’s photos & videos
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
  • Internal: All staff and department focal point
  • External: Media, News Agencies and related vendors
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing/Communications/Journalism from an accredited and renowned University
Minimum Experience:
  • 5 years' experience in all areas of Public Relations in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in Public Relations, Press and Corporate Affairs area
Job-Specific Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience in corporate communications  
  • Strong ability to build and manage media relations  
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a network of PR agencies
  • Good knowledge of managing protocol services
