MSELECT is hiring an Accountant/ Settlement Specialist for a financial services client in Baghdad. Candidates must have at least 3 years of relevant experience and be fluent in English and Arabic.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Control on daily basis the settlement of accounting entries
- Check outgoing payments to merchants, control related documents and payment conditions and reconciliation
- Check and justify payables and receivables accounts related to settlement
- Check all transactions related to Visa and MasterCard files
- Control daily payment letters and revenue sharing agreements before sending it to customers and banks
- Control end of day journal log vs physical entries
- Check visa and MasterCard charges and report them to the finance department
- Create new accounting architecture for new banks based on contracts (SLA and revenue share,) create and test new transaction codes, and apply new invoice
- Check monthly cobranded revenue share contracts (third parties and banks)
- RTGS and swift implementation process
- Assist the team with all kind of problems and discrepancies
- Communication with other departments to find better solution for existing process
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in finance or accounting or any equivalent field
Experience and technical Skills:
- 3 years' experience in accounting and finance preferably in the payment industry
- Advanced in English (written & Spoken)
- Advanced in Microsoft Office
