Job Purpose
As a wellsite geologist, you will be responsible for providing on-site geological support during drilling, monitoring well data, analysing formations, and supporting safe and efficient operations. Work closely with the drilling team and report updates to the geology team.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor drilling and interpret geological data (cuttings, gas, logs)
- Manage and QC mudlogging data and contractors
- Compare actual vs planned geology and highlight risks
- Advice on drilling hazards and casing points
- Prepare daily reports and update logs
- Supervise logging and coring activities
Requirements
- Degree in Geoscience or related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a well-site geologist
- Strong knowledge of drilling operations and data interpretation
- Familiar with GEO software and MS Office
- Good English and communication skills
- Team player with strong attention to detail
