mselect is looking to hire a Supreme Audit Advisor for an international oil and gas operator in Basrah. Candidates must have a minimum of 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with 10 years in Internal audit/ control. English and Arabic fluency is a must.

JOB OBJECTIVE
  • Handling supreme audit queries, observations, and reports on all operations and annual cost expenses
  • Manage and maintain appropriate relationship with different process owners across different functions to meet the needs of the business and respond to Supreme Audit queries timely and manage their questions and expectations
  • Ensure audit is conducted in accordance with Iraqi Accounting and Auditing Standards, in accordance with international Standards on Auditing (lSAs) and any applicable law, regulation or best practice
  • Reporting to Internal Control Manager
  • Supervise/ Oversee all supreme audit issues and any other related regulatory bodies for all raised queries and observations on all operations

Key Accountabilities
  • Acts as the primary contact for Medical Insurance plan, in terms of day-to-day plan matters with staff, work with medical insurance companies and broker to ensure compliance with contracts, communications and invoices administration
  • Accountable for salary calculations, in terms of wages, allowances and provide excellent support to payroll & Social Security preparation & Submission
  • Responsible on prepare and issue employees contracts, verification, work schedules & assignment letters / Social Security & Tax certificates
  • Maintains proper documentation of staff (E/P-filling), employees master-sheet & Administrate employee’s attendance / leaves
  • Responsible day to day communications, advises and provide support to HR OPS Lead in Ad-Hoc projects
  • Responsible for special handling of sensitive and problem cases and resolving outstanding issues, such as investigations & Employee relations
  • Coordinate with departments and line managers for general employee’s activities including off-boarding, T&C and transfers
  • Provide ad-hoc pay/salaries reports to HR Manager & Lead when needed
  • Suggests methods to improve processes & increase efficiency in payroll, SS & WP

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree from reputable university in Iraq
  • Diploma in accounting is a must
  • Business administration and accounting background experience
  • Oil & gas industry experience more than 20 years
  • Internal audit/control experience more than 10 years
  • Previous experience of working in multi-cultural and challenging environments
  • Joint venture experience is a must
  • Experience in coordinating with different departments on similar job
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to coach and mentor big teams
