mselect is looking for a Solar Power Plant Project Manager for an international oil and gas operator in Basrah. Candidates must have a minimum of 15 years of post-qualification experience with experience in the oil and gas industry in the MENA Region. Fluency in English is a must.
JOB OBJECTIVE
- Lead the conceptual design and basic design of solar power plant.
- Lead the tendering of solar power plant.
- Manage the assigned project work.
- Lead the PMC/PMT team which is assigned to this project.
- Ensure related engineering work meets standards, quality requirement, and ensure compliance the philosophy of the company.
- Ensure related engineer work completed on time.
- Ensure all related material purchased/made as per requirement of the company.
- Ensure all related material purchased/made as per project schedule.
- Ensure all project construction activities are made as per requirement of the company.
- Ensure all project construction activities are made as per project schedule.
- Ensure all project pre-commissioning and commissioning activities are made as per requirement of the company.

- Ensure the project is proper handover to end user as per requirement of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Degree in Process, Mechanical & Piping engineering or equivalent (MSc preferred)
- Professional certification or accreditation in construction management or proven experience
Minimum Experience
- 15 years of post-qualification experience with experience in the oil and gas industry
- Work experience in the MENA Region, preferably in Iraq.
- Demonstrated EPC project management roles of at least two Flowline / Pipeline and/or Surface Facility projects.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:
- Mastery in Construction Management and Basic Knowledge in oil/gas process, mechanical/piping, E&I.
- Skilled in Influencing and Conflict Handling
- Skilled in Contract Management
- Ability to think laterally and provide creative solutions to deliver projects and give strategic directions
