Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Odoo Consultant to lead the analysis, design, implementation, and optimisation of Odoo ERP solutions. The ideal candidate has strong functional and technical knowledge of Odoo, extensive business process experience, and the ability to manage ERP implementations from requirements gathering through post-go-live support. The Senior Odoo Consultant will work closely with clients, project managers, business stakeholders, developers, and support teams to deliver high-quality ERP solutions that improve operational efficiency and business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis:
- Conduct discovery workshops with stakeholders
- Analyse existing business processes and identify improvement opportunities
- Gather, document, and validate business requirements
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications
- Recommend ERP best practices and process improvements
- Configure Odoo modules according to business requirements
- Design end-to-end ERP solutions
- Lead implementation of standard Odoo features before considering customisation
- Perform gap analysis between business requirements and Odoo capabilities
- Define workflows, approval processes, and automation
- Lead full Odoo implementation projects
- Define implementation roadmaps and project plans
- Coordinate with developers for custom developments
- Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are achieved
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Manage production deployment and go-live activities
- Act as the primary functional advisor for clients
- Present solutions and demonstrations
- Conduct workshops and training sessions
- Manage stakeholder expectations
- Build long-term customer relationships
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD)
- Prepare Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS)
- Prepare Solution Design Documents
- Prepare Process Flow Diagrams
- Prepare User Manuals
- Prepare Training Materials
- Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Develop functional test scenarios
- Perform system testing
- Validate configurations
- Support integration testing
- Assist with regression testing after upgrades
- Train key users and administrators
- Prepare training materials
- Conduct workshops for different departments
- Support knowledge transfer
- Support & Continuous Improvement:
- Provide post-implementation support
- The analysis reported issues
- Recommend process enhancements
- Identify opportunities for automation
- Support system upgrades and migrations
Collaborate closely with developers, UI/UX designers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, project managers, business analysts, and customer success teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Odoo certifications are preferred
- ERP implementation certifications are an advantage
- Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum) are a plus
- 5–8+ years of ERP consulting experience
- 4–6+ years of hands-on Odoo implementation experience
- Experience leading multiple end-to-end Odoo implementations
- Experience with enterprise-scale projects
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Experience managing client relationships and executive stakeholders
- Functional Skills: Strong understanding of ERP concepts, Business process analysis, Requirements gathering, Workflow design, Process optimisation, Documentation, Solution architecture, Gap analysis, Change management
- Odoo Expertise: Odoo implementation experience (v15, v16, v17, v18, or newer), Odoo Studio, Access Rights & Security, Multi-company configuration, Multi-currency, Approval workflows, Email templates, Automated Actions, Server Actions, Scheduled Actions, Record Rules, Reporting, Dashboards, Import/Export tools
- Modules: Strong experience with CRM, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing (MRP), Accounting, Invoicing, Point of Sale (POS), Project, Helpdesk, Maintenance, Quality, HR, Recruitment, Payroll (where applicable), Expenses, Fleet, Documents (DMS), Sign, Knowledge, Website, eCommerce, Marketing Automation, Email Marketing, Field Service, Planning, Rental, Subscriptions
- Technical Knowledge (Preferred): Basic understanding of Python, Basic PostgreSQL knowledge, XML views, Odoo ORM concepts, REST APIs, JSON, API integrations, Git, Linux fundamentals, Docker basics, Nginx basics, Odoo deployment architecture, Performance optimisation concepts
