mselect is looking to hire a Senior Associate for a business consultancy firm in Baghdad, Iraq. Candidates must have 5–7 years of relevant legal experience. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a wide range of commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documents
  • Provide legal opinions, legal memoranda, and day-to-day legal advisory services to corporate and institutional clients
  • Conduct legal due diligence exercises and advise on regulatory compliance and corporate governance matters
  • Identify and communicate legal risks while providing practical and commercially focused solutions
  • Liaise with governmental authorities, regulatory bodies, and public institutions on behalf of clients
  • Conduct legal research and prepare high-quality legal analyses, reports, and advisory memoranda
  • Manage multiple client matters simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced professional environment

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Law
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant legal experience
  • Strong knowledge of Iraqi laws and regulations, particularly in corporate, commercial, labour, and civil law
  • Strong technical legal and advisory experience
  • Excellent legal drafting, contract review, and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities effectively
  • Fluency in Arabic and English is required
