Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a wide range of commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documents
- Provide legal opinions, legal memoranda, and day-to-day legal advisory services to corporate and institutional clients
- Conduct legal due diligence exercises and advise on regulatory compliance and corporate governance matters
- Identify and communicate legal risks while providing practical and commercially focused solutions
- Liaise with governmental authorities, regulatory bodies, and public institutions on behalf of clients
- Conduct legal research and prepare high-quality legal analyses, reports, and advisory memoranda
- Manage multiple client matters simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines
- Work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced professional environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law
- Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant legal experience
- Strong knowledge of Iraqi laws and regulations, particularly in corporate, commercial, labour, and civil law
- Strong technical legal and advisory experience
- Excellent legal drafting, contract review, and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities
- Professional written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities effectively
- Fluency in Arabic and English is required
