Job Summary
The Territory Medical Device Sales Representative is responsible for driving new business development and expanding market presence by identifying, engaging, and securing new healthcare customers. Working closely with the business development and partnerships lead, the role focuses on presenting product value, conducting demonstrations, leading contract discussions, and closing sales opportunities. The position requires a strong understanding of healthcare customer needs, the ability to communicate effectively with both clinical and technical stakeholders, and a consultative approach to selling. In addition, the role is responsible for maintaining strong after-sales relationships, supporting contract renewals and upselling opportunities, and driving sustainable revenue growth across the assigned territory through effective relationship management and technical product expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to generate leads, secure new business, and achieve assigned quarterly and annual sales targets
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and market-development activities
- Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with healthcare professionals and key decision-makers to maximise customer satisfaction and retention
- Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and educational sessions to promote product benefits and support customer adoption
- Develop territory sales plans, conduct market research, monitor sales performance, and identify opportunities for business growth
- Process customer orders, provide after-sales support, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and align commercial strategies
- Maintain accurate sales records, prepare forecasts and performance reports, and participate in relevant industry events and professional networking activities
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical device sales, including successfully introducing new products to the market
- Experience selling to two or more target customer groups, such as nurses, occupational health providers, government organisations, and general practitioners (GPs)
- Valid driver's licence with a willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours
- Own reliable transportation
- Own a smartphone with reliable data connectivity for email and business communication
