Job Purpose
The Sales Executive is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing customer relationships, and promoting logistics services to achieve monthly sales targets. The role involves conducting regular sales calls and client visits, coordinating service offerings, and providing high-quality customer support to meet clients’ logistics requirements. The position focuses on managing and expanding relationships with existing and prospective customers, overseeing shipping opportunities, and delivering tailored logistics solutions that foster customer loyalty, drive business growth, and increase the company’s market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify commercial market opportunities, prospect and follow up with customers to develop and monitor the customer’s portfolio
- Plan and conduct the commercial visit according to the commercial action plan and produce visit reports as required by management
- Sell company products and services, and advise customers on specific transport modalities to sell the solution best fitted to their needs
- Upload visits feedback and market research information on the CRM system (C-view) and ensure updated commercial data in the information system – CargoWise
- Receive customers' requests, prioritise them, and process their requests in coordination with sales support and operations teams
- Constantly promote new services and value-added services to customers
- Maintain and update market intelligence to identify business opportunities and industry trends
- Manage, follow up on, and resolve customer complaints to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Achieve individual sales targets and performance objectives as agreed with the sales manager
- Conduct field visits to target customer segments and prepare visit reports to be submitted to the direct manager on time
- Expanding the customer database by maintaining existing customers and attracting new customers through regular communication reach via phone calls, emails or field visits
- Record the necessary data on the appropriate system in preparation for the operations team to complete processing of the shipment and issue an invoice
- Follow up & Apply Department monthly, quarterly & yearly products, initiatives & tasks set by my department manager/management
- Attend all required Local & Global trainings & sessions
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc)
- A minimum of 3 years of sales-related experience, including Ocean, Land, and Air Freight for both Import and Export operations
- Relevant functional job knowledge and experience, including Sea and Air Freight (Import & Export)
- Knowledge of sales techniques
