Key Responsibilities
- Assist the senior QHSE management system analyst in setting up annual HSE objectives; Monitor and provide needed support for the realisation of HSE objectives
- Review and implementation of permit requirements for the materials warehouse, ensure to provide appropriate qualifications training for all work permit applicants
- Incidents/near misses/unsafe acts/conditions reporting
- Safety alert/lesson learnt
- Acts as a focal point for department SMART objectives, assists management, reviews, and sets achievable targets and gets department management approval
- Conducts inspections of materials warehouses and office facilities across multiple locations, participates in operational site HSE inspections, and supports the reporting, tracking, and follow-up of corrective actions through to closure
- Planning and organising department HSE tours
- Department risk register preparations, review and updates
- Legal Obligations Registers (LORs) preparations, review and updates
- Preparations of the department training matrix and periodic review for new requirements
- Safety campaign, i.e., heat stress management, chemical handling, hot work, height work, lifting operations, etc., life-saving rules (posters/banners)
- Conducts inspections of chemical storage and handling facilities and ensures safe practices are implemented for the transportation of chemicals
- Ensures the application of material safety data sheets (MSDS), safe work processes and procedures within warehouse operations, and supports COSHH awareness and training activities
- Ensures the implementation of safe lifting practices during the storage and transportation of materials
- Verifies that approved lifting plans are followed for all heavy lifting operations
- Environment monitoring, coordinate to conduct environment monitoring, i.e. noise, CO2 emission, illumination level, etc
- Waste management, waste storage, segregation (Haz./Non Haz.), & handling, vendors/contractors coordination for waste management for disposal as per law
- Assist the senior QHSE management system analyst in carrying out corrective actions against internal and external HSE audit findings
- HSE Plan/procedures/method statements preparation, review and implementation
- Site HSE audit, organising & conducting, preparation of reports, tracking and follow-up for closures
- Fire & safety, periodic inspection of firefighting system, coordination with TPI vendors for periodic inspection/testing/calibrations
- Review and assess the HSE documents related to contracts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with Diploma in Industrial Safety or equivalent from a recognised body & NEBOSH Certificate
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain/warehouse/material handling, including the oil & gas sector
- Experience in planning, conducting, and reporting QHSE Audits and Inspections
- Skills and experience in the analysis and reporting of HSE data
