mselect is looking to hire a Legal Manager for a leading facilities management company in Dammam, KSA. Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in legal practice or in-house legal roles, preferably with a blend of commercial, procurement, contracting, governance and operational legal experience. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

Job Purpose
The Legal Manager is responsible for managing all legal matters across the organisation, providing expert legal advice, ensuring regulatory compliance, and safeguarding the company's interests. The role supports senior management in identifying and managing legal and commercial risks, overseeing contractual and dispute matters, and ensuring that all business activities are conducted in accordance with applicable Saudi Arabian laws, regulations and corporate governance requirements. The position also ensures alignment with the organisation’s legal, compliance, and governance frameworks, supporting sound corporate governance, ethical business practices, and effective risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive legal advice and guidance affecting the organisation's activities and interests

  • Draft, review, and advise on legal documents, including agreements, contracts, policies, regulatory submissions, legal notices, and correspondence, to ensure they are legally sound and compliant

  • Manage all litigation, legal disputes, and regulatory proceedings, coordinating with external legal counsel and relevant stakeholders as required

  • Ensure all business activities comply with applicable Saudi Arabian laws, regulations, and company policies, including labour, commercial, and sector-specific requirements

  • Identify and assess legal risks across the organisation's operations, escalating high-exposure matters to senior management with recommended actions

  • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes affecting the company, ensuring timely updates to relevant policies, procedures, and internal guidelines

  • Develops, implements, and maintains legal policies, procedures, and governance frameworks that align with the organisation’s legal, compliance, and corporate governance requirements, ensuring consistent, compliant, and risk-managed legal practices across the organisation while supporting adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and group directives

  • Coordinate cross-functionally to provide legal support on employment matters, commercial transactions, and operational decisions

  • Manage relationships with external legal counsel, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with the organisation's legal strategy

  • Maintain accurate and organised records of all legal matters, correspondence, and proceedings in line with document control standards

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations related to the position

  • Stay updated on industry best practices to enhance professional performance and process improvement


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Law or Legal Studies; Master of Laws or equivalent postgraduate degree preferred

  • Membership in the Saudi Bar Association (SBA). Additional certification from a recognised body (e.g., WorldCC/IACCM) is an advantage

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in legal practice or in-house legal roles, preferably with a blend of commercial, procurement, contracting, governance and operational legal experience

Added-Value Competencies:

  • Saudi Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Saudi commercial, labour, and administrative laws, regulatory frameworks, and government procedures

  • Litigation & Dispute Management: Experience managing litigation, dispute resolution, arbitration, and mediation before Saudi courts and arbitration bodies

  • Bilingual Legal Drafting: Ability to draft, review, and analyse legal documents in both English and Arabic

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to assess legal risks in the context of business objectives and provide legal guidance

  • Problem Solving: Strong ability to analyse legal issues, evaluate available options, and deliver effective and compliant resolutions

  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with regulatory bodies, external counsel, and internal departments

Technical Competencies:

  • Legal Drafting & Review: Expertise in drafting, reviewing, and advising on legal documents, including agreements, contracts, policies, notices, and regulatory submissions

  • Legal Compliance & Regulatory Affairs: Strong knowledge of Saudi commercial, labour, and administrative laws to ensure full regulatory compliance across all business activities

  • Litigation & Case Management: Experience managing legal cases, coordinating with external counsel, and representing the organisation's interests before courts and arbitration bodies

  • Legal Research & Advisory: Ability to conduct thorough legal research and provide well-reasoned advisory opinions on matters affecting the organisation's operations

  • Risk Identification & Mitigation: Proficiency in identifying legal exposure across business activities and recommending practical mitigation measures

  • Corporate Governance: Knowledge of corporate governance principles, regulatory reporting obligations, and internal policy frameworks to ensure legal and ethical business conduct
