Job Summary
The Geophysicist is responsible for all geophysical aspects of the oil field, supporting ongoing development projects. The role ensures optimised field production and performance by preparing geophysical studies, executing geophysical operations, integrating 2G&R synthesis, and contributing to field development optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up on the 3D seismic data acquisition, VSP acquisition, seismic data processing, in close collaboration with the contractor, HQ specialists, and Subsurface operations, particularly the large 3D seismic acquisition campaign (890 km²) to support updates of reservoir models
- Ensures proper integration of geophysical data into field development activities
- Perform seismic reservoir characterisation studies to analyse subsurface structures, evaluate reservoir properties, and support field development and production optimisation
- Performs 2G&R synthesis and contributes to updating or rebuilding reservoir models
- Participate in delivering the well-drilling sequence and the geosciences-reservoir data acquisition in wells
Requirements
- Education: Degree in engineering, geophysics or petroleum geosciences
- Work Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of experience in geophysics, including at least 1 year of experience in an operated asset team on reservoir geophysics
- Knowledge of carbonate and clastic reservoir deposition, seismic sequence stratigraphy, and structure interpretation
- Strong knowledge of 2G&R (Generation, Gathering & Reservoir) synthesis and its application in reservoir performance evaluation and field development planning
- Experience in using commercial software for geophysical data calibration and interpretation
- Ability to develop good relationships within the internal departments, with project teams, HQ, partners and authorities
- Ability to understand, explain and present complex technical material to both technical and non-technical audiences in a persuasive manner

- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team
- Fluency in English is required
