Job Summary
The Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and instrumentation equipment within industrial facilities. This role ensures that all electrical and control systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and company policies. The supervisor leads a team of technicians, coordinates daily work activities, and provides technical guidance to ensure project deadlines and operational goals are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily activities of E&I technicians and contractors
- Oversee installation activities, QA/QC documentation, handover packages, site surveys, cable works, and other electrical and instrumentation tasks
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair control systems, sensors, and transmitters
- Prepare field sketches, Material Take-Offs (MTOs), and data sheets for cables, junction boxes, and other E&I materials
- Manage E&I equipment, tools, materials, and consumables to support site activities
- Ensure all E&I activities comply with applicable safety regulations, procedures, and operational standards
- Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams to optimise system performance and resolve technical issues
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to E&I team members
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering field
- Minimum 5–7 years of direct E&I maintenance experience within the Oil & Gas industry, including 4+ years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems, and field instrumentation
- Experience in industrial electrical systems, motor controls, and power distribution
- Excellent English language skills are required; Kurdish or Arabic is an advantage
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
