mselect is looking for a Compensations and Benefits Specialist for an international oil and gas operator in Basrah. Candidates must have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the C&B field or in a related area. Fluency in English is a must.
 
JOB OBJECTIVE
  • To ensure Company C&B policy and procedure could be implemented
  • To ensure the ‘Day- to - day C&B functional management could be implemented comply with local laws
 
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Ensure that compensation practices follow current legislation (pay equity, human rights)
  • Define a fair, equitable and competitive total compensation and benefits package that fits and is aligned to our company’s strategy and business goals
  • Develop a consistent compensation philosophy in line with work culture and organizational objectives
  • Administering corporate compensation and benefits plans/programs
  • In order to ensure the integrated management of company C&B database, be responsible for the maintenance of database and the statistics of employee’s C&B information and records
  • Processing Monthly payroll/Bonus payment
  • Processing and management of social security inspection reports, records, payments, clearance letters
  • Update Work permits Data & documents and prepare the applications’ documents and other related issues
  • Processing Invoices
  • Coordination on company insurance scheme
  • Monitor employees all types of leaves and update the records and make sure Iraqi labour law code of leave and company policies of leaves are followed by staff
  • When required, Maintain and develop the relations with Iraqi Authorities like Basra Social Security Office, MOLSA
  • Maintain the data base & documents for insured employees, including rejected and approved claims, additions & Deletions, revise invoices amount of MI & PA and other related issues related to medical insurance according to C&B Section head instructions
  • Coordinate with Sub-contractors for employees’ concerns, and time payment through Finance
  • Coordination on company insurance scheme
  • All Employees’ Files are complete & up to date with all documents required as per the company policy and legal requirements
  • Collecting, updating, archiving employees Tax forms
  • Issuance of salary certificates and Non-Objection letters to requesting staff, Support personnel sections with new joiner’s bank letters
  • Be Ready to achieve any additional new tasks and responsibilities according to the request from C&B section head
  • Upon request, translates letters related to C&B, and replies from – To English & Arabic
  • Preparation of BOC or any other reply letter which pertains to C&B function

External:
  • MOLSA, Basra Social Security, Medical Insurance Service Provider and Sub-contractors, as per the job requirements and C&B instructions

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Have a good knowledge of the human resources practices, business administration, legal section, statistics
Minimum Experience:
  • Requires 8-10 years of experience in the C&B field or in a related area
  • Relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplishing goals
  • Experience in SAP or any similar software is a must
  • Extensive knowledge in Human Resource and Iraqi Labour Law
  • Be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Must be very good in MS Office, specially Excel
  • Very good in writing, talking and listening in English
