Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)
This 3-day foundation in monitoring and evaluation course is designed for individuals who are new to the field of monitoring and evaluation or those who wish to formalise their existing understanding which has been developed through work-based experience.
The introduction to monitoring and evaluation course considers important concepts and activities from inception through to outcome evaluation and additionally includes valuable project management and leadership techniques. The course includes a series of activities and assignments as part of the learning.
The course teaches you methods used to define, collect, analyse and use information for results, accountability and learning, and to illustrate your organisational impact.

To introduce what is meant by monitoring and evaluation
Illustrate how project will measure progress toward/achievements of goals and purposes
Clarify M&E requirements
Establish plans for data collection, analysis, use, and quality assurance
Provide an M&E work plan
Outline M&E roles, responsibilities, and capacity-building strategies
Serve as the project’s institutional memory for M&E

Nine years’ experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) in UN Agencies and INGOs. Twenty-Five years’ experience working with international NGOs (16 years), UN Agencies (5 years), and business sector (4 years) in the fields of heading country office, directing programs & projects for sections of WASH, Shelter, livelihood, Camp Coordination & Camp Management (CCCM), and protection, and conducting needs assessment, monitoring and evaluation activities in and outside of Iraq.
