Emergency Response & Incident Management (Online)

Emergency Response & Incident Management (Online)

Fee $200

Tuesday, 28 April 2026

Overview

In high-risk operational environments, the effectiveness of an emergency response is determined not by plans alone, but by how well individuals execute their roles under pressure. Delays, miscommunication, and lack of coordination during incidents can significantly escalate consequences. This course develops the practical capability to manage incidents in real time, focusing on role clarity, communication discipline, and coordinated decision-making. Participants are trained to respond effectively to operational emergencies using structured incident management approaches aligned with industry practices.

The programme emphasises simulation-based learning, allowing participants to experience realistic scenarios, make decisions under pressure, and improve their response through structured feedback and after-action reviews.

Course Objectives

By the end of this course participants will be able to:

  • Execute structured incident management roles and responsibilities

  • Perform immediate response actions with speed, accuracy, and discipline

  • Communicate clearly using structured reporting formats

  • Coordinate multiple teams and functions during escalating incidents

  • Maintain accurate documentation for decision tracking and handover

  • Apply structured decision-making under pressure

  • Conduct effective after-action reviews and define improvement actions
